IPA: /ʌnˈbrændɪd/
KK: /ʌnˈbrændɪd/
Describing something that does not have a brand name or logo on it.
Many consumers prefer unbranded products because they are often cheaper than branded ones.
Unbranded → It is formed from "un-" (meaning not) and "branded" (from the root "brand" which comes from Old English "brand", meaning a mark or a burning). The word "unbranded" means not marked or labeled with a brand.
Think of 'not' ('un-') having a 'mark' ('brand') on it — that's why unbranded means something that doesn't have a brand mark.
